THE BIG PICTURE

TG is looking for a full-time pub manager! While this role is year-round, we're also considering it for seasonal employment from April 1st to October 1st. The pub manager oversees all pub and kitchen related activities. This position requires someone with strong organizational and interpersonal skills. An ideal candidate would enjoy working in a creative, fast-paced service environment, with a few years of experience preferred. This job requires efficient problem solving skills, as well as excellent employee and time management. Our Pub Manager will need to be available during most weekends of our busy summer season but will have a flexible schedule to accommodate a 40-hour work week. 

THE DAY TO DAY

  • Recruiting, hiring, training, and supervising staff

  • Complete schedules for Pub and Kitchen Staff at least two weeks in advance

  • Fill In for any scheduling holes- have a full understanding of all pub roles and work where it’s needed, primarily in the saute role of the kitchen

  • Inventory management and ordering food from local providers and Sysco.

  • Weekly meetings with pub/kitchen management

  • Music bookings

  • Work with management on our menu changes for the summer and winter.

  • Food & beer menu costing

  • Disciplinary action & documentation (for employees and customers)

  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety laws

  • Setting goals and maximizing profitability 

  • Serving Customers 

    • Be present as on-shift manager for our big weeks/weekends 

  • Weekly meetings with General Manager for updates on pub & needs

  • Maintain servers handle bags and manage pub receipts

  • Approve and schedule large party reservations and events

  • Managing costing, ordering, and inventory spreadsheets

  • Communicate maintenance needs and upkeep equipment

REQUIREMENTS

  • Food Handlers Permit within 30 days of hire, OLCC Server’s Permit within 45 days of hire

  • Ability and stamina to spend an extended amount of time on your feet
